The HBBML License

Summary #

The HBBML is a permissive, community-friendly license for Hero Studios software (Minecraft mods, resource packs, clients, and tools). You are free to use, play, share, and include Hero Studios software in modpacks — as long as you give credit and don't claim it as your own.

1 · What you may do #

• Use and play Hero Studios software in single-player and multiplayer, on any server.
• Include it in modpacks and distributions, with credit to the original author.
• Share unmodified copies freely, as long as this license stays attached.
• Use assets (icons, textures, themes) in your own non-commercial projects with attribution.

2 · What you may not do #

• Claim ownership of Hero Studios software or its assets.
• Remove or alter license notices, credits, or branding without permission.
• Resell the software or assets as-is for profit.
• Misrepresent modified versions as official Hero Studios releases.
• Use the software to cheat or gain unfair advantages on servers that prohibit it.

3 · Modpacks & distributions #

You may include Hero Studios mods and resource packs in modpacks, including commercial modpacks, provided you credit the original author and link back to herostudios.dev. No per-pack permission is required.

4 · Derivatives & modifications #

Modifications for personal use are always allowed. Redistributing modified versions publicly requires either (a) releasing under the same HBBML terms with clear attribution, or (b) written permission from the author for special cases (e.g., collaborations, commissions).

5 · Assets & branding #

The Hero Studios name, logo, and "everywhere" icon are protected brand assets. See the brand page for usage rules. Assets inside software (icons, textures, themes) are covered by this license unless stated otherwise.

6 · No warranty #

Hero Studios software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. The author is not liable for any damages arising from use. Use at your own risk, and always back up your worlds.
