Better Dynamic Crosshair
A dynamic, context-aware crosshair that reads your target.
Why it exists
Purpose
A static crosshair gives you nothing. Better Dynamic Crosshair re-colors and styles the crosshair based on what you're targeting — hostile or passive mobs, players, bosses, containers, redstone, crops and ores — and attaches tooltips showing entity HP, armor and distance or the correct tool and estimated break time.
Who it's for
PvP players, builders, miners, and anyone who wants an at-a-glance read on what they're aiming at.
Key capabilities
Context color coding
Hostile=red, passive=yellow, player=blue, boss=purple, container=cyan, interactable=green, redstone=orange, ore=gold.
Smart tooltips
Entity name/HP/armor/distance; block tool, level, and estimated break time.
Combat glow indicators
Full attack charge, critical hits, low-health targets, and correct-tool indicators.
Client-side & performant
HUD mixin with a low performance impact and a public API for other mods.
